Flowers

I just love this time of year. In the garden, there are so many lovely flowers. The colours are truly amazing.
The show from these plants is just stunning this year. I think they are called Crown Imperials, though I am not entirely sure. Any help with naming them?

Your flowers are lovely and have reinforced my idea for your rr band sampler. Over here in North America what you have is called Asiatic lilies - here are some from one of my favourite flower farms http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/920590-product.html
What we call crown imperial is a bit different and very smelly. Here is a link to Monticello, which as well as being the home of a president, also sells plants and is near me here in Virginia. I got my crown imperials here:

Thanks Margaret. They look exactly like your Asiatic Lilies.
I look forward to seeing what you do with my RR band.

They are beautiful, Mandy. Do you have them coming up every year? We've had several really lovely ones over the years but they don't always survive to vloom again. Or else the nasty lily-eating bug gets them! Don't know what it is.
They are a great shape for stitching in all sorts of techniques.

Yes, these come up every year. I do love the shape of them. As you say they are perfect for stitching inspiration.
